Getting started with Archive Verify Checker

Verify an archive against NourForge or common SHA-256 manifest data and review clear pass, failure and warning results.

Choose the archive

Select the folder or supported source to verify. Turn on Archive Subfolders only when nested files belong to the intended verification scope.

Choose verification data

Select the manifest or checksum folder, or use Follow Archive Folder when the data is stored beside the archive. Checker detects supported formats and reports what it found.

Choose only the matching mode you need

Manual File, Manual SHA-256, Multi-disc / Partial, closest-name fallback and Orphan Resolution change how files are selected or paired. Leave them off unless your workflow requires them.

Verify

Checker validates the inputs, pairs expected entries with candidate files, calculates SHA-256 and reports progress without silently treating ambiguous data as valid.

Read the overall verdict

PASS means scheduled files matched under the reported rules. PASS WITH WARNINGS requires review. FAIL, MISSING, EXTRA and warning rows explain discrepancies that need attention.

Inspect detailed evidence

Use Verification Summary, Results and Activity Log to understand expected and actual hashes, sizes, match modes, enhanced chunk data and warnings. Save reports when you need an audit trail.
