MKV Batch Manager uses MKVToolNix tools for inspection and metadata editing. Allow detection or select mkvpropedit; the application also checks for the companion mkvmerge tool.

Getting started with MKV Batch Manager
Scan MKV files, plan metadata changes, preview the exact result and apply only after review.
Choose a source folder
Select the folder containing MKV files and decide whether nested folders belong in the scan.
Scan
Scan reads detailed properties from the original files without planning a change. Use the table to inspect duration, dimensions, aspect ratio, track counts, codecs, languages, default tracks, 3D state and warnings where available.
Choose files and changes
Select the files to include, then configure supported Video, Audio, Subtitles or 3D metadata changes or use a Quick Preset.
Preview
Preview calculates the destination metadata without applying it. Colour-coded cells distinguish unchanged values, planned changes and conditions that need attention.
Apply
After reviewing selection and warnings, confirm Apply. The application gives per-file progress and feedback, then verifies the resulting state.
Review and retain rollback
Check the final status and Activity Log. Undo Last Apply is designed for the most recent captured transaction; do not treat it as a replacement for independent backups.
