Preview colour-coded destination metadata
Compare original values with the planned destination state before changing any MKV file.
Choose supported edits
Set display dimensions or aspect-related values, default audio, default subtitle behaviour, 3D stereo mode or other supported metadata exposed by the current application.
Run Preview Changes
Preview builds the planned result for each selected file without executing mkvpropedit.
Read comparison values
Changed cells show original-to-destination values where appropriate, such as 1080 → 869 or 16:9 → 2.21:1.
Use colour with labels
Colour coding helps scan the grid quickly, while Changes, Warning and Status columns provide written meaning. Do not rely on colour alone.
Remove accidental selections
Uncheck files that should not change, correct configuration and preview again until the plan matches your intention.
Apply only a reviewed plan
The Apply action should follow a current, completed preview—especially when editing many files or default track flags.
