Define the source scope
Choose the source folder and Include Subfolders setting. Scan only the scope you intend to understand or edit.

Scan and inspect original MKV properties
Use Scan as a detailed inventory of the current files before planning any metadata change.
Run Scan Files
The application uses MKVToolNix to inspect selected MKV containers and builds a table from their current metadata.
Review file identity
Confirm relative path, file size and duration so similarly named episodes or versions are not confused.
Review video properties
Inspect display width, display height, frame rate, aspect ratio, video track count and codec information made available by the file.
Review audio and subtitle properties
Inspect track counts, languages, codec/channel information, current default audio and default subtitle state.
Use columns and search
Show only useful columns, search by file or path and link the layout across workspaces when a consistent review view helps.
Resolve warnings before planning
A scan warning or unavailable property can affect whether a planned edit is appropriate. Investigate it before Preview or Apply.
